this has been such a crazy week! it was homecoming week for my highschool and i’ve been so busy. buuut…

so, last wednesday we had our last meet for the season before out district meet (which is this thursday) and the meet went pretty well! we won, and i got 6th over all and 3rd for my team with a time of 22:05. now, i was so close to breaking 21 and i know i would have done it but….i fucking fell. it was raining and the course was pretty muddy and i freaking tripped on  root and fell. it sucked.

workouuuut. tempoed our home course. then homecoming game…which we lost. hahahah but oh well.

70 minutes in the morning, really early. then i went home and showered and started getting ready for homecoming. i went out with eight of my friends to dinner and then to the dance. the guy i was sort of hoping would ask me didnt, but we ended up dancing all night anyway(: it was so much fun!

Albemarle invitational

So yesterday i spent basically my entire day at this invitational and it was so much fun! I wanted to post about the race last night but i was so tired and the race results weren’t posted so figured id just do it this morning.

anyway, i got to run varsity yesterday! which is exciting for me because it was my first invitational running varsity. so first things first, this is a tough course. Not the worst i’ve run but its definitely up there. There are a lot of hills and one giant one my team has lovingly named the death hill. i swear it doesn’t end, like, you think you’re almost at the top and then it just keeps going and going. plus on top of that this was a really crowded race, there were 248 girls in the varsity race and it was tough to get through everybody. but complaining aside, i really loved this race. I got third for my team and my time was 22:01. I got 104 out of the 248, which is alright, but next time i definitely want to get below 100 at least. oh, and my team got 17th out of 36! we’re not the best but oh well. our best girl finished 11th in the entire race!
